Welcome on the webpage of the
Ultracold Atoms group led by David Guéry-Odelin at the
Université
Paul Sabatier in Toulouse.
We are part of the
Laboratoire
Collisions, Agrégats, Réactivité
(LCAR) of the
IRSAMC institute, and currently work on
the physics of guided atom lasers.

November 15th, 2010: We have a MOT with several 10
10
atoms in the new setup, loaded in about one second by a novel
type of Zeeman slower using permanent magnets in a Halbach
configuration. See
here for
a video of the MOT, and
here
for many more details about the slower. The preprint
arXiv:1101.3243
(submitted to Rev. Sci. Instr.) describes the slower in great
details.
